No photos here please

I'm sitting down for the first time in 2 weeks.  It's been busy busy busy, with highs and lows.

Towards the end of last week i managed to sew a few more windows for the quilt...

... but I've also made a start on the confirmation dress.

I do take photos, but sometimes they just don't make it online when i post so i'm hoping you will understand when i add them later :-)

One thing i have noticed is that after awhile and before i finish the first, i move onto the next project and really i have to clear some of my projects before i start a new one.  For example, i made myself a lunch bag last Sunday and that was not on the list of things to do.

Well it's a long and quiet weekend for me, hope it's fun where you are.

Quiet

it will be for awhile as I settle into a new weekly routine.  Which also means no sewing - gasp!

I've started my windows quilt and am 30 windows into the 168.  But I think the confirmation dress will push quilting out of the way.

Well, have to fly, got to make my lunch and go play outdoors!!

Where did the days go?

The flowers were beautiful as always...

the day wasn't too bad either...

but for some reason all that walking wore me out. Add in a few days of work and here we are!

I have managed to do some more making - a shower cap, coin purses for the small people, prototyping a pouch for the large person - but no photos as yet. Maybe next week...

For now, I have to pretend to be a domestic goddess and not a person that wants to try out a new skirt pattern idea *sigh*

Inconsistant

I am inconsistant in logging on to my computer. There is very little hope for me becoming a good blogger!

Never mind, there were several things to sort out at the start of the year and the most thought comsuming was Josh's operation earlier this week.

All went well and he is bouncing around as normal - it was one of the more common childhood ops - but when you see someone put a large quantity of drugs into your child and say "he's sleeping now" the fight or flight kicks in. Fortunately I did neither.

Because of the op no plans were made for during the holidays as we were not sure how long his recovery would be. Strangely, I am the one going stir crazy indoors! A trip out to look at flowers is in order, so here are a few makes from earlier this year...

From Sew Hip magazine, made for my new nephew.
A new waistcoat for Josh for his birthday party.
I hope the sun is shining where you are.
